FBI identifies suspect in Colorado 'terror attack'
FBI Reports Colorado Terror Attack: Suspect Using Flamethrower to Shout "Free Palestine"
The FBI has identified a suspect in the "terror attack" in Colorado.
Colorado, June 1, 2025, USA A horrifying incident astonished the people of Boulder, Colorado, during a nonviolent protest organized by Run for Their Lives to raise awareness of Israeli prisoners held by Hamas. The FBI verified that the suspect yelled "Free Palestine" and used a homemade flamethrower to attack the protesters.
The assailant, 45-year-old Mohamed Sabry Soliman, is Egyptian and had overstayed his visa to the United States. He used a combination of firebombs and a flamethrower to target a group of elderly people, some of whom were between the ages of 67 and 88. The attack resulted in severe burn injuries.Authorities quickly detained Soliman at the scene. According to officials, the FBI is treating this as an act of domestic terrorism with ideological motivations because of the attacker's anti-Israel views and the symbolic nature of the protest. "It was terrifying," one witness remarked. "We were marching one minute, and then there were flames in front of us."
The demonstration's primary objective was to raise awareness of the Israeli prisoners taken after the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7. Right up to the attack, the protest had been nonviolent.
Particularly in light of recent international tensions surrounding the Israel-Gaza war, the incident has once again sparked worries about the rise in antisemitism and extreme violence in the United States.
Six people suffered injuries:
Two suffered severe burns. Three with minor injuries One was treated on-site and then released.
Every casualty was an elderly person taking part in the demonstration.
Fans were astounded by Taylor Swift's daring new appearance at the 2025 Met Gala.
